700 Leo T. "Buster" Ercanbrack has been a long-time advocate of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) since his mother- in-law, Daisie Tait of Cashmere volunteered with the program. In her memory, Buster established an annual golf tournament that continues to this day because of Local 32's ongoing commitment to service in North Central Washington. Proceeds from the golf tournament are donated to RSVP of NCW, a program of the Chelan-Douglas Community Action Council (CDCAC). CDCAC's staff were thrilled about the personal visit coordinated by Executive Administrator Tammara Henley and Business Manager Jeff Owen of Local 32 to deliver the biggest check yet. Wenatchee Chapter of Seattle United Association 32 of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union donated $10,000 this year, and Jeff hand-delivered it! Over two decades, they have donated $137,000. This annual contribution helps provide meaningful volunteer opportunities to retired seniors while meeting critical community needs, such as hunger.
