In a bit of a twist, MAY-has been recognized nationally as the month to honor Emergency Medical Services personnel. Right now, May 17th through the 23rd, is National EMS week. We urge you to thank and salute local and regional EMS staff and volunteers during this special time. EMS volunteers, receiving absolutely no compensation, are available at all times 24 hours a day 365 days a year. They may be sitting at a family Christmas dinner and called away to help someone in distress. Dedication? Indeed. We should also thank their families for their understanding and support, and the generosity of the employers who allow those who serve .. to serve.
