Would you like to improve your balance? Do you want to feel more comfortable participating in your favorite activities? Are you fearful of falling or experienced a fall? Aging and Adult Care of Central Washington, Wenatchee Valley YMCA, and Healthy Aging are offering A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns About Falls, an award-winning workshop designed to increase the activity levels of older adults who have concerns about falling. During the 8 class sessions, participants will learn to: Promote exercise to increase strength and balance Set realistic goals for increasing activity Improve environment to reduce fall risk factors View falls and fear of falling as controllable This workshop is free of charge and all materials will be provided. Classes starting January 17 - February 9th, every Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00-3:00 pm at the Wenatchee Valley YMCA. You do not need to be a YMCA member to enroll in A Matter of Balance. Space is limited - Registration is now open!
