RSVP Volunteer Spotlight Bonnie How do you volunteer as a Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) participant? I was asked by RSVP to be a volunteer mentor in Waterville Elementary School. enjoyed working with kids so much that when another opportunity came up chaperoning for school groups while they toured the museum and helped them to paint bowls for Community Action's "Empty Bowls" program that I said yes. It has been so much fun for me. It was never intentional to work with kids, but I gravitated there. Why do you volunteer with RSVP? I volunteer for a couple of reasons. I am blessed in so many ways and feel gratitude every day. Volunteering is satisfying in a way that warms my heart. contacted RSVP and asked about what opportunities were available in our community. The rest is history. Do you have a message to share? Volunteering fills me up and balances my life. I'm always looking for opportunities to give back. I volunteered in high school and then my working life took over! So glad to be back in a position in my life to help again.
